Dodi Palese has been travelling a lot in 2012, up and down like a rollercoaster through our solar system he has seen and heard things that you people wouldn't believe. The friends asking for a souvenir are now satisfied with a 9 tracks album coming out on the just born Engrave LTD. The album, titled 'Greetings From The Solar System' (how could you call it differently?), starts with the solemn 'Oberon' inspired by the dark and slightly red surface of the also designated Uranus IV, the outermost major moon of the planet Uranus. The atmospheric opening is the proper introduction to 'The Dark Spot', a psycadelic techno trip into the anticyclonic storms of Neptune. 'Orbital Resonance', recorded during the transit near Jupiter's moons Ganymede, Europa and Io, offers a delicate musical vision of the mutual gravitational influence of those bodies. The result is a percussive track that represents the deep peak of the entire album. 'Ceres' reflects the Cererian surface, probably a mixture of water ice and various hydrated minerals such as carbonates and clays. To give us back the right feeling, Dodi, using his private interplanetary connection, asked to Giuseppe Magagnino with his keyboards to speak loud about dwarf planet's amenities. The reportage of the voyage continues with the strongs reverbs of 'Inghirami', a sharp sound picture of the lunar impact crater taken during the way back to home. 'Hun Kal' is the suggestion of a flyby on the small crater of Mercury riding the space wave with a TR808. Located on Ishtar Terra, the more northern of the Venus' two major highlands, 'Maxwell Montes' is 11 kilometres high. A visit on the highest point of Venus' surface has inspired Dodi's dizzying synths and chords. Can you feel the Gforce? 'Mariner 4' was collected adrift in space by Dodi, luckly some of the equipment in the spacecraft was still in function! Using the helium magnetometer, a trapped radiation detector and the cosmic dust detector he has codified the sound of Mars' surface. The greetings collection is closed with 'Cassini', a complete sound reportage recorded around the ring of Saturn using the Radio and Plasma Wave Science instrument of the homonymous robot spacecraft. Well, if you are looking for a possible sound coming from the space around our planet you should listen to those musical pictures taken from Dodi Palese. For all of you guys, Greetings From The Solar System!
